SymmBoost Converter - Bipolar Power Source +/- 9V, +/- 15V, +/- 24V
SymmBoost Converter - Bipolar Power Source +/- 9V, +/- 15V, +/- 24V
Meet Anabit's SymmBoost Converter Module (open-source)—a compact, ready-to-drop-in bipolar power source built using a boost and inverter DC to DC converter to give your projects ± rails from a single 5 V input. Pick the variant that fits your analog stack: ±24 V, ±15 V, or ±9 V. It’s a fast way to power op-amp front ends, sensors, precision ADC/DAC stages, or mixed-signal prototypes without juggling multiple supplies or benchtop bricks.
Designed for bench and field alike, each rail has its own enable pin so you can control power turn on sequences or disable a rail independently. Input and outputs are accessible via 2.54 mm header pins or screw terminals for flexible wiring. The converters on the design run off a fast 2.4MHz clock delivering great power efficiency and enable a small form factor, the whole board fits a tight 41.5 mm × 27 mm footprint.
Product features
Product features
Variants / outputs (from 5 V in) — ± 24 V, ± 15 V, ± 9 V dual rails; independent precision EN pins per rail;
Protection features — Under voltage lock out, over current / short circuit protection, over voltage protection
The DC to DC converters run off a fast 2.4MHz clock enabling great power conversion efficiency. With good power efficiency comes less conversion heat which enables the small form factor of the design
Power input and outputs can be accessed through 2.54mm pin holes or from screw terminals. Output enable pins are only accessed through pin holes.
Note: Since this is a boost converter and a 5V input voltage is "boosted" to two higher voltages output rails the 5V input power source needs to be able to source currents over 1A to full output loads. See specifications and product tutorial for more information
