RangeRite ADC – High-Resolution Dynamic Range Measurement Platform
RangeRite ADC – High-Resolution Dynamic Range Measurement Platform
Anabit's RangeRite ADC family makes high-resolution measurements of both unipolar and bipolar signals simple and portable. With 16-bit and 18-bit resolution versions and up to 500 kSPS sample rate, you’ll get precision results whether you’re logging slow signals or chasing fast waveforms.
Designed with firmware changeable unipolar and bipolar input ranges, built-in anti-aliasing filtering, and a wide 6–18V supply range, RangeRite is a highly integrated flexible measurement tool to drop into your design. Best of all, it sips just 5 mA max current and has a small form factor, so it’s right at home in battery powered and remote projects.
The RangeRite ADC dev board is perfect for applications such as:
- Dynamic sensor measurement: high-precision readouts for changing sensor data such as temperature, strain, pressure, or light sensors.
- Audio analysis: capture rich waveforms for acoustic testing and audio electronics.
- Scientific experiments: from sensitive lab bench experiments to precision field data logging, it’s ready.
- Industrial equipment diagnostics: capture equipment performance and aging aspects for advanced diagnostic and predictive maintenance use cases
- Portable and remote logging: ultra-low current draw and small form factor makes it ideal for portable battery-powered, or wireless monitoring systems.

Why the high precision low power RangeRite ADC family Rocks
--> Wide selection of unipolar (0 to 5.12V, 6.144V, 10.24V, 12.288V) and bipolar (+/- 2.56V, +/- 5.12V, +/- 6.144V, +/- 10.24V, +/- 12.288V) input ranges – easily configured right in firmware. Go from small-signal precision to large-swing dynamics with zero hassle.
--> High precision options at 16-bit or 18-bit resolutions combined with the input range settings provides the ultimate high resolution flexibility
--> Highly integrated measurement solution: includes Front end ADC buffer, anti-aliasing filtering (15kHz BW), and a precision voltage reference are all built-in to a small low power form factor
--> With 100 kSPS or 500 kSPS max sample rate options, RangeRite is fast enough for capturing dynamic AC signals
--> Flexible power options allows RangeRite to run off a wide input supply (6V–18V) with an optional digital supply rail to match your system logic (1.8V to 5V).
--> Clean power = clean measurements: Dual-stage noise filtering keeps supply ripple and noise where it belongs – out of your data.
--> Low-power performance: Consumes only about 5 mA max with a small 51mm x 22mm form factor, making RangeRite perfect for portable battery-powered and remote applications where.
Specifications
Specifications
The RangeRite ADC family is controlled and ADC data read back using a standard SPI communication interface:
--> Uses SPI mode 0 with data read back MSB first
--> Max SPI clock rate: 66.67MHz
Firmware selectable input voltage ranges, note that ADC measurements are automatically scaled to the set voltage input range:
--> Unipolar ranges: 0V to 5.12V, 6.144V, 10.24V, 12.288V
--> Bipolar ranges: +/- 2.56V, +/- 5.12V, +/- 6.144V, +/- 10.24V, +/- 12.288V
DC measurement accuracy specifications, giving in least significant bits (LSB) and % of reading:
--> 18 bit versions: 3.10 LSB or 0.01 %
--> 16 bit versions: 0.81 LSB or 0.01%
Dynamic signal measurement accuracy giving in effective number of bits (ENOB):
--> ENOB @ ~1 kHz for all versions: ~15 bits
Includes built-in anti-aliasing low pass filter with cutoff frequency of ~15kHz. Filter cutoff frequency is the same for both maximum sample rate versions 100kSPS and 500kSPS
Max current draw for powering the RangeRite: 5mA which includes both analog and digital power.
--> Main power input (Vin): 6V to 18V
--> Optional digital power input, which sets digital logic voltage level (VDIG): 1.8V to 5V
Form factor: 51mm x 22mm with 2.54mm pin spacing. Mounting holes have a diameter of 3mm
