How to Make High Accuracy Current Shunt Measurements
Share
In this video we focus on circuit designs and specifications to help you make accurate current measurements using current shunts or current sense resistors. We cover understanding current shunt specifications, including temperature coefficient and thermal resistance. We discuss sizing from a shunt resistance and power handling standpoint as well as from an op amp gain and ADC voltage range standpoint. We also provide an overview of op amp and ADC types and specifications to pay attention to when designing your current measurement circuit. We include a demo using anabit's precision multimeter so you can see some of the concept covered in action.
